I'm going through the book of Acts again, and I came across a verse that always gets to me, it is Acts 8.4 "Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went."
The attack on the church was underway -- people getting drug out of their homes and put into prison, and then we get this snap shot of what was taking place with those were scattered. They were not cowering in fear, they were not converting to another faith, they preached the word wherever they went!
I often wonder if it is possible for us as believers to capture this mindset here in America? Do we want to see those far from God come to know Jesus bad enough for us to have a passion for those that are lost? Even to the point of preaching and living the word wherever we go?
My prayer is that it won't take a collapse of our great nation or our religious freedoms being infringed upon for us to step up and embody the message of Christ.
